U.S. warplanes are currently leading airstrikes in backing of Iraqi endeavors to take the city of Tikrit from the fear bunch ISIS, the U.S. military said Wednesday.
The airstrikes are "continuous," as per a Defense Department official. The U.S. military got included in the hostile to take control of Saddam Hussein's main residence at the solicitation of Iraqi Prime Minister, Haider al-Abadi, the military said in an announcement.
"These strikes are planned to crush ISIL (ISIS) fortresses with exactness, in this way sparing guiltless Iraqi lives while minimizing inadvertent blow-back to framework," said Lt. Gen. James L. Terry, telling general of a U.S.-drove coalition against ISIS.
